Definitely weird weather we are having this week. Imagine California having tornado warnings, hale and flood warnings. Imagine (Southern) California being wetter than Seattle. (Seattle by the way is having sunny weather today... go figure)
Normally, I love the rain. The rhythmic pitter patter of it entertains me while I'm driving or better yet if I didn't have to go to work, I would just lie in my bed and watch it through the window. What ruins it for me is when I hear the problems that come with it. News about landslides, houses and lives lost because of it, flooding and traffic make me feel guilty that I like rain.
A little trivia here. The highest amount of rainfall in LA was 38.18 inches. As of yesterday, total rainfall is measured at 32.03 inches. Give it a few more inches, and it will be the wettest season since 1884.

I haven't been writing much because there's not much to write about. Routine's been the same for a while. work, gym, home.
Gym, by the way, is going great. Haven't lost weight but I think I've lost inches and I feel better all around. I have to say that even with the all around good feeling I have when I finish working out, it still is a struggle for me to get to the gym at least three days a week. The excuses that pop into my head...ayayay. It's like having an angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other.

Clara's making great progress with her speech. She's talking a whole lot more now and she makes sure everyone hears about it. Last weekend she woke up at about 6:45 am. She usually wakes me up by poking my nose and my eyes and climbing on me till I wake up. Well, this weekend, after doing all that she just sat on the bed and shouted "Ayayaya" in a loud voice over and over again till someone (I think my MIL) came into the room to get her. Everyone was talking about it when they came down for breakfast.
Speaking of Clara (ain't I always Ü), she's been growing really fast these days. I suddenly notice her pants and pajama bottoms don't drag on the floor anymore. Actually they are close to a couple of inches short already. When did that happen?
My BIL's girlfriend, M arrived from the homeland a couple of weeks ago and Clara looooooooooves her. As in adores being around her. First day here and Clara's posing (in front of the camera) for her...complete with a smile and head tilt. She doesn't do that when I point the camera at her. Anyway, Clara hangs out in M's room sitting quietly while she's on the computer. They even have this thing where M copies whatever Clara does and they go at it for a few minutes till Clara gets tired of the game. CUTE!
Hmmmm.... just had a thought.... maybe Clara is taking after M in height since they have been around each other alot ( M is 5' 9") which could explain the sudden growth spurt of my child... yay!!! my child has a chance of being taller than me...nyahaha :D
