Clara woke up Saturday morning feeling very stylish. She picked out her outfit. A striped tank top and fuchsia skort was her choice and the kicker was she asked for her cap. (she never wears caps). Bagels and coffee for breakfast. The rest of the day spent lazing around at home. It was too warm outside we didn't feel like going out. High point: Clara had two good sized naps during the day. Woohoo! Definitely a good day :)
Sunday started with our weekend bagel and coffee and a walk around the mall. Nothing exciting. Just a very nice habit we got into.
Here is Clara showing some love to the camera and mr. ladybug.
An afternoon by the pool with a few friends capped the day.
I wanted to record this weekend as one of the good ones where Clara was (generally) a good girl and obliged her mom with many cute pictures.
Sidenote: Clara continues to catch me by surprise how fast she's growing. You just have to look how she walks to see and inkling of how independent and headstrong she is. I'm afraid to even imagine what I have ahead of me.

just an observation
amazing how a simple box of doughnuts perks everyone up on a dreary weekday morning.
*didn't take a picture of the actual box of doughnuts so i swiped this pic from the website

notes to self
1. traveling with a toddler is not the same as traveling with an infant
2. never underestimate the power of elmo
3. traveling at night is equivalent to a peaceful ride to and from your destination
*i'll try to write a real post soon

i feel old
i just realized that my co-workers are AGES younger than me. with exception of our boss, i am the oldest among us.
AND I AM ONLY 30 YEARS OLD!!!! what the hell?
i've been working with the same company for too long. i was so used to being the youngest in the group. now all of a sudden i am the oldest.
i know it's not a big deal but it just makes me feel ancient.
