5:10 AM - hubby and i get up... resigned we won't be getting her back to sleep
5:11 AM - i take a bath while hubby and clara have breakfast
6:10 AM - kiss, kiss ... left for my first day at work
7:15 AM - got to the office a full hour before appointed time. traffic not as bad as i thought.
7:23 AM - walked a block down to buy coffee and a bagel to kill time.
7:25 AM - halfway there, my feet are hating me.
7:32 AM - ordered my breakfast and started walking back.
7:39 AM - a few feet from my car, i spill coffee on my shirt front and center.
OF COURSE so typical that would happen to me on my FIRST DAY AT WORK!!!
7:40 AM - quickly blot and wipe and managed to get most of it. when it dried, it was hardly noticeable.
whew!
8:10 AM - walked in and spent first 45 minutes filling out the necessary personnel forms and being briefed on company profile, benefits, yada yada yada
9:00 AM - onwards the rest of day spent shadowing my "teacher" trying to take it all in. my feet are loudly protesting all this shadowing
12:00 noon - i feel a migraine forming.
1:00 PM - ask about having lunch. plan on having lunch that minute but a batch of orders come in to be processed ASAP
2:30 PM - get around to buying lunch. walk to Quizno's across the street. my feet are slowly killing me.
2:45 PM - finally eat lunch
3:30 PM - back to work.
5:12 PM - YAHOO day one is *done*!
6:15 PM - HOME*SWEET*HOME! kiss, kiss to clara
6:16 PM - take off evil shoes, take migraine medicine, lie down and cool off (the sun was beating on me the whole way home)
7:03 PM - change into my pajamas and record my day ;)

one of many thoughts
i miss... clara's baby smell seeing my sis in law sing tagalog kid's songs to her with clara in her lap clara running up to me when i come home from work clara's smile with just her two front teeth showing clara's onsies clara being oblivious to what doctor's visits are for
i enjoy... not fighting with clara everytime i put her in her carseat clara learning something new everyday seeing clara learn to interact with people our weekend bagel together clara copying everything we do understanding what she is telling me clara's growing independence clara finally sleeping though the night (getting her to sleep is another story)

change is coming....
though i wanted it for so long, having it finally happen doesn't make goodbyes any easier.
i've griped about what a rut of a job i have in many of my previous posts. now, i am given the opportunity to move on and hopefully move up too.
but still i get all teary eyed thinking about leaving the friends i've worked with for so long. i know i should leave but still it's hard to. even with my previous jobs i've haven't felt this much sadness about leaving as i do now. maybe during those instances, it was really time for me to leave.
now, it surprises me how sensitive i feel about leaving. like i can't stop crying about it.
but i know i have to make a move now before i'm too "old" to considered a prime candidate for employment. i have to get settled. and hopefully this new job is THE ONE.
so ya, i have a new job. i'll be starting on July 25. yay me!
now, if i could just stop crying.
