Valentines Day is a day to express your love, and to celebrate the spirit of love. It is a day not just for couples, but for family and friends as well!
I would like to take the time to show some love to those who have loved me.
To my mom, I love you for not giving up when you felt overwhelmed with the responsibilities of raising four children and running a business, for lengthening the apron strings when I needed to move away from home, for trusting me in making an important decision (though the warning bells must have been sounding off left and right). I miss you.
To my dad, though we have our differences, I love you for continuing to be the best dad you can be.
To hubby, I love you for making me feel like I'm a better wife than I really am. I love you for loving my goofiness, my mistakes, my moods and my quirks. I love you for loving me.
To Clara, I love you for your daily hugs and kisses, for the smile on your face when I come home, for the the lessons in patience and tolerance only you have managed to teach me, for the joy you bring to the family everyday. You are my daughter. I will love you always.
To my in laws, thank you for accepting me into your family with nary a ripple of objection (is that the right word?). I love you all for taking care of Clara when I needed time to myself. I am very lucky to be part of a family such as yours.
To my aunts and cousins, I love you for being my support group during a hard time. You (my aunts) are my pseudo moms now. I love you for being honest, for being funny and for just being there.
To my friends, whether from high school, college or from work, I love you for being part of my small circle of people close to me. I hope we can get together again someday to reminisce the good old days.
